Watch What You Watch!

Once upon a time it was said that 'real' Christians don't go to the cinema. That was light years ago. Today, movies are 'in' and many believers have no qualms about watching their favourite flick, be it the R-rated 'Sex in the City' or the horror 'Drag Me To Hell.' The big question is: Have we gone too far?

God is doing a new thing in my life. For those of you who have visited this website ever so often you know that you haven’t seen new content for a while. We’ve had some struggles coming up with a formula that would make this website rock (in the Holy Ghost context, of course). The days for asking for free stuff appear to be long gone. On principle we always paid our writers and photographers so that cash flow was important to our survival. And for a site that doesn’t charge, we soon ran out of options.

But a new day has come. And it had less to do with the site and more to do with one of the key persons behind it. Me.

I’ve got my faith back. What are you talking about Natasha? Well, I’ll tell you. You see somewhere along my journey as a believer, I lost my way. It happens when you forget that everything you are that is praiseworthy. Everything you have that you celebrate, cherish, have declared precious… is because of God. That fact became another church cliché to be rattled off when someone gives you a compliment. Somewhere along the line I took my eyes off of my source and I started to look at the business, the economy, my means… everything else but God. Let’s just say, I fainted.

It took a series of “back against the wall” situations for me to realize that God is my air. Without Him I can do nothing; achieve nothing. So, I’m back to that place where spending time before Him and with Him is the best part of the day. I’m back to that place where I know that He’s going to work it out because impossible is just not in his vocabulary. I have a renewed excitement about what he’s going to do next in my life and I want to shout it from the roof top. Well, here’s as good place as any to start: on this website where dry bones (or pixels) live. Thank God he specializes in dry places.

I was fasting recently and God gave me a song. Could you believe it! I’m not sure what he wants me to do with it but it excited me that when you dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High he downloads all kinds of cool stuff into your spirit.

Brother. Sister. I don’t know what you’re going through, but Trust God. Even if it’s “through the tears and the pain” like Brother James Fortune said in his song. I’ve begun to start doing like it says in Ezekiel 37 and prophesying to these dry bones. I have a good feeling about this. Why not join me. Prophesy to those dead situations in your life and see what the breath of God will do.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Ezekiel 37:10 KJV
